What Are The Maintenance Requirements For Transformer Oil Testers?
Leave a message
If you work in power equipment maintenance, the reliability of testing equipment is paramount, and the maintenance of these instruments cannot be taken lightly. Below are the core maintenance requirements for transformer oil testers, systematically outlined for different functional modules, to help you ensure long-term stable operation of the equipment:
General Environmental and Storage Requirements
Ensuring the instrument is used and stored in a suitable environment is fundamental to guaranteeing measurement accuracy.
Usage Environment: Avoid dusty, vibrating, direct sunlight, and corrosive gas environments. The operating temperature should be controlled between 0℃ and 40℃, and the relative humidity ≤75%. Provide adequate ventilation space around the instrument to ensure good heat dissipation and prevent excessive internal temperature from affecting performance.
Storage Environment: When not in use for extended periods, store in a dry, well-ventilated room with a temperature between 5℃ and 40℃ and a humidity ≤85%RH, away from strong electromagnetic fields and corrosive gases. It is recommended to store it in the original factory packaging box and place a desiccant to prevent moisture absorption.
Routine Maintenance Before and After Use
Basic checks and cleaning should be performed before each operation to prevent small problems from accumulating into major malfunctions.
Pre-use Inspection:
Check the test leads and alligator clips for damage to insulation, and ensure the connectors are secure.
Observe the instrument's exterior for damage, and confirm the display screen functions normally after powering on.
Check the output terminals for rust or oxidation; clean if necessary before use.
Post-use Handling:
Disconnect the power supply, organize the test leads, and store them in their proper places.
Wipe the instrument casing and terminals with a clean, soft, dry cloth to remove dust and oil.
Never use corrosive solvents such as alcohol or acetone to wipe the display screen or panel.
